Joyce Kim Lee is an Emmy Award-winning Costume Designer with more than 25 years of experience.

Born in Ohio to Korean immigrants, Joyce graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a BFA in Costume Design. Upon graduating, she was awarded a Costume Design Fellowship at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. working with Paul Tazewell ("Hamilton"), the resident Costume Designer at the time.

After assisting regionally and on Broadway (James Lapine and Moisés Kaufman to name a few), Joyce designed costumes for over 50 productions in theatre, opera, and dance. She was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts/Theatre Communications Grant and honored with an L.A. Ovation Award Nomination for Best Costume Design for "The House of Bernarda Alba" at the Mark Taper Forum, starring Chita Rivera and Sandra Oh.

Since transitioning from stage to film and television, she has worked on over 30 projects designing hundreds of episodes and numerous pilots, many of which required custom creations. Some of her credits include "The Surfside Girls" for AppleTV+, Disney Channel's "Just Roll With It," "The Muppets" for ABC, and Nickelodeon's “The Fresh Beat Band”—for which Joyce was honored with a Daytime Emmy Award and four consecutive nominations for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design. Her designs for that show were also on exhibit at the 6th Annual Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design at FIDM Museum.

Joyce resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Christopher Harwood, who served as the leadman on many long-running hit series, such as "Will & Grace," and "The Big Bang Theory." Joyce is also the lucky mother to boy/girl twins and two furry felines.
